2 Day event at Archerfield to mark the opening of the rebranded performance centre

Posted by | Golf Club Events | No Comments

The night golf company visits Scotlands prestigious Archerfield Golf Course. One of Europe’s leading fitting centres and has rebranded following Nike’s decision to withdraw from the golf hardware market.

Members and visitors were invited down to try the latest clubs by Titleist, Ping and Callaway late into the night with the help of the Night Golf Company.

Night Golf teams up with England Golf & Keele University

Posted by | Golf Club Events | No Comments

We were delighted to receive a call from the County Officer for England Golf back in early October asking about running a couple of events. England Golf has an ambitious strategic plan to increase participation in golf over the next few years and part of that strategy is introducing younger people to the sport. What helps in getting those people introduced to the game is through different (and, crucially in our view, shorter) formats of the game.

Apart from seeing it as an opportunity to be involved with an organisation committed to growing the game we love, it was also a great way for us to introduce Night Golf to a whole new audience. Some of the students had not played golf before, let alone played in the dark!

The events were held at Stone Golf Club on October 28th and Newcastle-under-Lyme Golf Club on October 30th. We have to say a big thank you to Gareth Shaw and Iain Lancaster of England Golf, Arron from Keele University and all the students for making the nights memorable. Thanks also to Phil from Midlands Golfer Magazine for attending and playing 6 holes with us on the Thursday.

We look forward to working with them all again. You can get more information on the work of England Golf on their website

Return to Fulwell

As we are returning to Fulwell Golf Club in Middlesex next Friday, we thought we’d share some of the photos from our last visit.

This was a challenging event for a couple of reasons. Firstly, there were 52 players doing a shotgun start over 5 holes! We thought this had disaster written all over it if we’re honest. Not only that, they wanted a par 3 over water. Not something we’re keen on.

I’m glad to say we we’re proved wrong. No, it wasn’t the fastest 5 holes ever but there was beer and wine to keep people warm and plenty of banter on the tees. We even managed to lose a total of about 4-5 balls to the lake. They are obviously good players at this course.

Everyone enjoyed themselves, the bar was full afterwards and the club laid on food for everyone. The night was a success for the club and we are looking forward to returning next Friday.

Halloween Events

We were very fortunate this year in that Halloween fell on a Friday night. Needless to say, it was a full and busy night with our first ever event at Kiddermister and our third annual visit to Heysham.

Both events were hugely popular with over 100 golfers playing that night. Both clubs had a fancy dress theme and the members entered into the spirit of things (some perhaps a bit too literally!) and as you can see from the photos, there were some brilliant outfits – even from Kelly Tidy and Kirsty Ush of The Night Golf Company!

Lilley Brook Golf Club

There was a great turnout for our visit to Lilley Brook Golf Club in the South West. We have been to a few clubs in the area but this was our first trip to this club.

The feedback from Simon the Professional was great and the members seemed to have a great night thanks to the nice mild October we had. We also had BBC Radio Gloucestershire in attendance and an interview with our Event Manager, Kelly Tidy was featured on the morning news programme.

We also saw on Twitter one of the best photos (see below) from one of our events and it’s certainly a contender for our October photo competition – final entries are going to be posted here and on our Facebook page early next week. The winner gets a dozen Srixon golf balls.

If you’ve attended one of our events and have a photo you’d like to share, you can email it to us at or send it via Facebook or Twitter.

Welcombe to Night Golf

September saw our first event in Warwickshire at Welcombe Golf Club near Stratford. This was a very prestigious venue for us, the club having hosted a number of high profile professional events in the past.

The event was very well received and we are already discussing ideas for next year’s event which we hope will be bigger and better!

Masters Weekend

Masters’s Weekend is getting increasingly popular for Night Golf. As the summer feels like it’s just round the corner, nights are still getting dark at around 7.30pm and, best of all, golf is on the TV late into the night!

Manor of Groves ran their second Night Golf event on the Friday night of the Masters. Another successful night and great turnout, the event was run by Event Manager and Golf Professional Ben Thompson.

We look forward to returning for the Masters in 2015 when we’ll see a European winner! To book an event over the weekend of The Masters contact us at
