The Night Golf Company took it’s first trip into Yorkshire this month with an event at Halifax West End Golf Club. Some of our events fell victim to the unseasonally cold weather in March but they are a hardy bunch in Yorkshire and even the snow that started to fall didn’t put people off.
This was our first Saturday event and the clubhouse was busy with many players staying to watch the England v Wales rugby match after playing their final Winter League rounds in the morning. We are keen sports fans at The Night Golf Company but even we were relieved to have to leave the rugby at half time to go and set the course up. It can’t have made good viewing (unless you were welsh of course).
The course looks great, very high up at 1000m above sea level (which made it VERY cold) and has some quite stunning views of the Yorkshire countryside. The hospitality we recieved from all the members and staff was great and we look forward to going back again this year – they even directed us to a fine curry house in Sowerby Bridge.
